Pros and cons of ListKeeper app for iPhone and iPad

ListKeeper app good for

My list-keeping protocol is pretty complicated; I like having one set of lists that I reuse, having another set of one-time-use lists for things Im not likely to do again, breaking complex list items down into sub-lists, and occasionally shifting items between lists. ListKeeper lets me do all of these things on my phone, and its already proven terribly useful—no more losing index cards for me!
Ive been desperately searching for a simple note-taking app that allows me to quickly type out lists and cross out items on the go. This app does exactly that, and efficiently too. Very useful!

Some bad moments

As the simple list maker it is fine, but there is no control in appearance and setting. For example: I prefer to have checkbox for compilation of each listed item but just a cross line is available.
ListKeeper is flexible but easy to use, and the Groups feature is great.
I love making lists, but never much liked the to-do-list app that comes with the iPhone. So when I had the chance to help beta List Keeper, I jumped on it, and Im glad I did. Now, I have folders for my wishlists, my to-do lists, and grocery lists. I have created groups for all my daily chores so every morning, I can go to my daily to-do list and just add the appropriate days group and poof, the half-dozen chores I take care of that day appear with one easy click! Its helped me keep my house clean for three weeks so far - a personal record. ;-) This is a great app, and I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to help themselves get and stay a little more organized.
I had high hopes for this app, but after downloading it and playing with it for two minutes, I realized it doesnt work for me at all, because it forces too much structure on you. I find this especially annoying, since the app looks like it will mimic the ease of paper. I really hope the developers fix these issues, because the app has a lot of promise. Here are some examples. 1) Creating a grocery list: You are required to create a category for all the items within your list. It forces you create sections like "Dairy" & "Produce," which just slows you down. I dont need to be **that** organized. A simple list of items would be fine. Then when you want to delete items, it deletes the categories too, so that you have to recreate them the next time. (Or you could save them for later... with a bunch more of extra steps...) 2) Folders - again... seems like a great idea... A Folder called to To Do, but then you have to have a list in the folder, and sub-categories in the list, which makes the app very unwieldy if you just want to jot down a quick list of errands you need to run on the way home from work. I hope the developers will take some of the features of this app (folders and categories) and make then available when needed!! Then they will have an awesome product.
This app is pretty great! I usually write notes on scraps of paper and then lose the paper. Im pretty careful not to lose my iPod. I really like the groups function that lets me make common sets of items and add them to my lists.
I have a great time making lists - this is much more powerful than just using the notes application. Its priced great, is very easy to use, and I look forward from more apps from the developer!
