ListKeeper App Reviews

Lack of setting

As the simple list maker it is fine, but there is no control in appearance and setting. For example: I prefer to have checkbox for compilation of each listed item but just a cross line is available.

Outstanding

My list-keeping protocol is pretty complicated; I like having one set of lists that I reuse, having another set of one-time-use lists for things Im not likely to do again, breaking complex list items down into sub-lists, and occasionally shifting items between lists. ListKeeper lets me do all of these things on my phone, and its already proven terribly useful—no more losing index cards for me!

Exactly what I needed!

Ive been desperately searching for a simple note-taking app that allows me to quickly type out lists and cross out items on the go. This app does exactly that, and efficiently too. Very useful!

Few glitches

I love the concept but hate that it crashes. Also completely lost the function of the tools in the right hand corner. Had to delete the app and reinstall it. I dont like that I had to go to the website to get instructions on how to use it. Prefer to have them on the app. Hope this gets fixed soon.

A very handy utility

ListKeeper is flexible but easy to use, and the Groups feature is great.

Get (and stay) organized!

I love making lists, but never much liked the to-do-list app that comes with the iPhone. So when I had the chance to help beta List Keeper, I jumped on it, and Im glad I did. Now, I have folders for my wishlists, my to-do lists, and grocery lists. I have created groups for all my daily chores so every morning, I can go to my daily to-do list and just add the appropriate days group and poof, the half-dozen chores I take care of that day appear with one easy click! Its helped me keep my house clean for three weeks so far - a personal record. ;-) This is a great app, and I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to help themselves get and stay a little more organized.

Too structured - please add flexibility

I had high hopes for this app, but after downloading it and playing with it for two minutes, I realized it doesnt work for me at all, because it forces too much structure on you. I find this especially annoying, since the app looks like it will mimic the ease of paper. I really hope the developers fix these issues, because the app has a lot of promise. Here are some examples. 1) Creating a grocery list: You are required to create a category for all the items within your list. It forces you create sections like "Dairy" & "Produce," which just slows you down. I dont need to be **that** organized. A simple list of items would be fine. Then when you want to delete items, it deletes the categories too, so that you have to recreate them the next time. (Or you could save them for later... with a bunch more of extra steps...) 2) Folders - again... seems like a great idea... A Folder called to To Do, but then you have to have a list in the folder, and sub-categories in the list, which makes the app very unwieldy if you just want to jot down a quick list of errands you need to run on the way home from work. I hope the developers will take some of the features of this app (folders and categories) and make then available when needed!! Then they will have an awesome product.

very useful for the absentminded!

This app is pretty great! I usually write notes on scraps of paper and then lose the paper. Im pretty careful not to lose my iPod. I really like the groups function that lets me make common sets of items and add them to my lists.

Love this app

I have a great time making lists - this is much more powerful than just using the notes application. Its priced great, is very easy to use, and I look forward from more apps from the developer!

Took too long to actually add anything to a list!

I love the interface on this app, it looks really great-- clean, simple, just like writing a list on a new piece of notebook paper, and thought for sure that that this one would be The One. But its so hard to get to the point where you can actually put items on the list that its pretty useless for me! First, you have to establish a category for your list to live in, then you get to create your list in the category. When you tap into the list, and hit the icon to add an item, you have to also enter a section name for the item to fall under- by the time I got to this point I was done with this app. I never even figured out what the grouping feature is, because it was going to be so tedious having to enter a section AND the item EVERY time.... Im sure that this could keep a lot of people extremely organized, but it was waaaaay too rigid for me. I mean, I just want to write some stuff down and be able to check them off, you know????

Not user friendly

Confusing to use, needs better instructions. Keeps closing on me as well, making me have to re do everything all over again. Glad it was only $1 but still would like a refund.

Unstable, confusing

I purchased this app because I want to use it as my shopping list for when I move to university and for ins like groceries, homework lists, etc..... Its very unstable, quits randomly, frequently, poor instructions, etc.... Would be nice if they could fix these issues in a future update

I enjoy using this!!!

I find Listkeeper is at first a little difficult to get into, but the "groups" feature I love. Every week my work team has a meeting, and I can easily jot short notes, assigning them to each person in the group. I find it useful to sort out groceries as well, because I can sort my groceries by which store I want to visit to make certain purchases.

listkeeper

I like this app, but what would make this a great app, is if you could email it to yourself to use for grocery shopping. It is find if you have the iphone, but if you dont it is kind of useless to use it for that.

Nice, but...

Overall this is a very simple app to use and I enjoy using it. However, you cannot view longer items, which is inconvenient for proper organization. Other than that, this os definitely worth the money.

Like paper but better!

This app is great! Its got a friendly, intuitive interface, and I can use it just the way Im used to making lists on paper - but I dont lose the paper or have trouble reading my own handwriting. I especially love being able to drag items between sections- thats a feature I was glad to see in 2.0. Ive recommended it to my friends. Great app!

Odyssey

This is a great organizational tool. Makes grocery lists easy to make. Very useful for trip packing lists also.

New update even better!

This version is easier to use, although I thought the first version was very do-able. Now you can email any of your lists or their permutations directly to your email. I keep adding lists and have done away with paper trails for groceries, trips, books, movies, etc. Theres a slight learning curve that you can cut, like I did, by visiting the developers site. It has very clear info. This app has become a permanent part of my life. I recommend it to anyone who needs more than a simple list or who appreciates complex simplicity.

Forget me not!

Call it ADHD, Forgetful, or whatever, but I forget everything. I get to the store and forget when I needed (usually the most important item), or forget my headphones, charger, or camera batteries before leaving for a trip home. I love using this app when Im going through my pantry to find items to buy at the store. If its on my list, I wont forget it. I find myself packing the same essentials for every trip, so I create a list for it. LOVE IT! The latest update is awesome and I love the videos on the website! Very helpful!

Best update Yet!!

Im enjoying the new version! Responsive developer who fixes bugs quickly! Much easier to shop for groceries, and not leave something out. I havent forgotten to buy cilantro since I started using it!
